Turkish Cypriot basketball player Erten Gazi, currently playing for Anadolu Efes in the Turkish Super League, has been invited to join the Turkish National Team.
Prior to Türkiye’s matches against Italy and Iceland in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers Group B, Erten Gazi has been included in the announced preliminary squad.
The Turkish Basketball Federation released the following statement regarding the matter:
“The preliminary squad for our Men’s National Team, who will compete in the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers, has been determined.
Our A Men’s National Team will face Italy on Thursday, February 22nd, at 22:30 (GMT) in an away game, and on Sunday, February 25th, at 16:00 at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall against Iceland in the Group B of the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers.”
