Japan’s regulatory bottlenecks, not taxes, are the real reason crypto innovation is leaving the country, according to Maksym Sakharov, co-founder and CEO of decentralized onchain bank WeFi. Sakharov told Cointelegraph that even if the proposed 20% flat tax on crypto gains is implemented, Japan’s “slow, prescriptive, and risk‑averse” approval culture will continue to push startups and liquidity offshore. “The 55% progressive tax is painful and very visible, but it’s not the core blocker anymore,” he said. “The FSA/JVCEA pre‑approval model and the absence of a truly dynamic sandbox are what keep builders and liquidity offshore.” Listing a token or launching…

If you’re joining a game of pickleball, it can be easy to grab your paddle and throw on the first pair of sneakers you see. However, your favorite running shoes won’t set you up for success on the court. “Running shoes are designed to primarily move forward,” says Andrew Felsenthal, a racquet sports leader at Life Time Peachtree Corners in Georgia. “With pickleball, you move in every direction — including lots of quick, explosive direction changes — so you need a shoe designed to support those movements.” To help you find the best pickleball shoes, I asked trainers about the…

It has been far from easy for Spain’s women’s soccer players to go from being unknown to being title contenders in less than a decade.
