The Greco-Roman style competitions of the event, held in the capital Bucharest, have concluded.
In the championship, Türkiye earned gold with Selçuk Can in the Greco-Roman style 72 kg and Alperen Berber in the Greco-Roman style 82 kg, silver with Rıza Kayaalp in 130 kg, Ali Cengiz in 87 kg, and Yunus Emre Başar in 77 kg, and bronze with Murat Fırat in 67 kg.
With a total of six medals and 147 points, the Greco-Roman Wrestling National Team secured the top position. The national team, which also topped the European Championship held in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, last year, achieved the historic milestone of being champions for the second consecutive time. Additionally, it marked the fifth time the national team has reached the summit.
In the European Wrestling Championship, Azerbaijan ranked second with 142 points, and Armenia secured the third position with 99 points.
