Günsel, a company rooted in Northern Cyprus is gearing up to launch a groundbreaking electric vehicle. With roots dating back to 2016, the manufacturer has diligently crafted a compact electric model that is now ready for mass production.
The B9 electric car stands out as a two-door compact marvel, boasting 140 kW/190 HP and featuring a seamlessly integrated 52.6 kWh battery within the vehicle floor. This innovation allows for an impressive range of up to 350 kilometers, with the maximum speed electronically restricted to 150 km/h.
Having made its debut as a prototype a few years ago, the B9 now emerges as a production-ready vehicle, showcasing a left-hand drive configuration with a strategically positioned touchscreen at the center console.
Günsel’s electric vehicle claims an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 7.7 seconds. Remarkably, when the battery is depleted, a rapid 80% charge can reportedly be achieved in just half an hour. Specific details, including pricing and the market launch schedule, are yet to be disclosed by Günsel.
In the pipeline, Günsel anticipates the introduction of the J9 model, envisioned as a fully electric, five-door crossover. The J9 is set to feature a robust 200 kW/272 HP all-wheel drive, an 85 kWh battery, and an impressive range of up to 500 kilometers. Further information on the J9 is presently awaited.
